Draupadi Swayamvar:

The Pandavas who escaped from the Lakshagraha went to Ekachakra and sought refuge in a Brahman's house. At that time they heard about the Swayamvar of King Drupada's daughter "Draupadi". Princes from far and wide were invited to the contest to win the charming princess. Arjuna  too wanted to try his hand. Arjuna went to Panchala along with many other brahmins.  The contest involved shooting several arrows into a moving target looking at its reflection in the water. Many came forward to try their luck and failed. Arjuna who was sitting amongst the brahmins got up and came forward. He strung the bow and shot his target very easily. Draupadi garlanded him chosing him as her husband.
